Last Friday was Alex's birthday. Boy did we have a good time! Mike came home early from work and then Alex opened up his presents. He got a Lightning McQueen bike he'd been wanting, a Spiderman helmet, and an Indiana Jones whip. We then went to Chuck E. Cheese. He had a blast playing all the games and eating pizza (one of his favorite foods).
On Sunday, we had a party here at the house. For a long time now Alex has said he wanted a Hulk cake. Kroger and Food City both make them but several of them were out of the figures that go on the cake. So we had to go to 3 different stores before finding one. I had hoped to find him a Hulk balloon but couldn't find one. So we had a Hulk cake and a Spiderman and Curious George balloon (what a combo!).
He was so excited about all of his presents. He's been wanting a stompin, smashin' Hulk for awhile and was so thrilled when he got one. He got an Indiana Jones playset (if you have a little boy who's 5 and over I HIGHLY recommend it,), and many other presents that he thought were great.
It's still hard to believe that he's 5. Time is really flying.
