"The Thunder Rolls, and the Lightning Strikes..."

"Another home gets hurt on this sleepless night!" Oh wait! That's not how the Garth Brooks song goes! Although it could have last Wednesday night. I have never been through storms that bad! I have to admit, I was scared. I've never felt the need to hunker down in the bathroom but I did that night. Between the rain, the hail, and an interesting freight train noise we were almost deafened while waiting it out in our downstairs bathroom. But what is even scarier is the fact that we came out of the storm with very little damage compared to others we know. Which means they went through much scarier stuff and I can't even imagine what it was like for them. Roofs destroyed, cars destroyed, windows destroyed. Just scary stuff.
