Alex as a one year old

As a one year old, Alex was a happy, smiling baby boy. He played with cars all the time. He would line them up in a perfect line and would get very upset if one of them moved. He loved to laugh and to make us laugh (something he still does today). He had a laugh that sounded like a combination of Ernie and Bert.

It was around a year old that he became attached to a stuffed smiley man and a yellow baby blanket (affectionately called Boppy). Smiley Man still sits at the end of his bed and he still sleeps with Boppy.

He went on his first trip to Cincinatti (the only time he met Great Grandma Mittan) and went on his second trip to Disney.

He loved watching "Elmo's World," playing in water and painting.
