We were awakened this morning at around 6:50 am by a very excited 6 year old. I had expected him to wake up earlier than that but he was nice enough to let us sleep. We have a very busy day planned.
First, we came downstairs and had doughnuts for breakfast. One of Little Man's favorites. He then got to open his presents (well, most of them). There's on present that PeePaw and Grandma sent that we're making him wait to open with the rest of the grandparents' presents. So far he's gotten a Leapster 2 game system, a Wolverine Leapster game, a basketball, a huge and I mean huge batman (it's almost as tall as Lauren), and HiHo Cherry-O game (we've already played it twice). He's spent most of the morning playing his Leapster though.
Later, we'll head to Chuck E. Cheese where we'll have a party with the boys from Alex's kindergarten class. They'll play games, eat pizza, eat cake, Alex will open presents, they'll participate in a Chuck E Cheese show, play more games, drink lots of soda, and then I'll send them back home all sugared up and hyper! (Except for my two children)
We'll then come back here with the grandparents and the Prichard family (Mike's sister and her clan) where we'll open more presents and hopefully catch the end of the UT game (I can't help that my son was born during football season. Something that family likes to jokingly complain about every year).
Then comes the fun part, finding room for all of these new toys.
We'll post pictures later.
